I know this question has been asked before but i wanted to make a few points. I'm not saying all rappers are like this. I have great respect for Lupe Fiasco and Nas. I like T.I. but some of his lyrics annoy me. I cannot stand Lil wayne. He's a sellout. Before you say they are just talking about certain girls check out some of these lyrics.

Maybe it's just me but I think this kind of stuff is embarrasing really. I can hardly find a rap song to listen to that doesn't diss women. But I refuse too listen to music that does because I wouldn't let a guy call me names to my face so I'm not going to listen to music that does.

I don't know what to say about it. I don't listen to much rap. (unless it's on the radio) Yes, i find those lyrics to be a bit disturbing, but sometimes they are just playing around. At the same time, why are their biggest supporters usually women? I get more upset with women, for following behind these fools. Black women are way too forgiving. Once an artist proves himself to be a misogynist, women should boycott the music. But that never happens, they would rather bump -n-grind to it in the club.
Okay, so here's the deal.. you are 100% correct that it degrades black women and women in general. To attack the problem we must go to the source. Who r the people in charge of producing and marketing this kind of filth? Artists should b ashamed of themselves for selling their souls for money.

I have to totally agree with that. Most rap these days is all about sex, drinking, and drugs. At least Metal and rock talks about real stuff like emotion and whatever, while rap talks about lust and crap. Oh, Sexual Eruption by Snoop Dog would be another example of nothing but sex.

In this day and age, about 90% of so called "rappers" are generic,studio thugs, that rap about nothing but still manage to make millions off the consumers who purchase their music. So if rapping about bling and hoes pays the bills. Why change it up?

Its not just black women its women in general. White and latin women have replaced black women in these rap videos now. And its not just rap. Rock video's were doing the same this to white women. But music wise rap music does seem to be very degrading to women in general. And thats why I don't listen to Lil Wayne I'll probably get thumbs down but i hate him as a rapper and that he gets rewarded with his mediocrecy and disgusting lyrics.
