Create an account in iTunes. (If you don't want to use a credit card/gift card you can goto the store & click on a Free App & then create a new account. There will now be a 'None' for payment option.

There's a site I found in Maximum PC, PC Magazine, PC World, or Wired in 2008-2009 that lets you download MP3s for free by paying for it with the ads you have to see to get to the download. I was looking for it but couldn't find it. But it's there somewhere.

Download a program like limewire or something from the Internet and then just search for the music you want and press the download button. Make sure you have downloaded iTunes from apple.com and limewire will put the music you have downloaded right into it. The plug in your iPod and in the music section click what you want to add
